Rib City - Cape Coral Pkway: Reviews & Ratings
Great food, wonderful customer service and more. I've been going here for over twenty years now. I love the cheese fries but the price goes up and portion size has greatly reduced. I recommend the fried okra with spicy ranch or the chicken tenders as an appetizer (some eat this as a meal I typically get the sliced pork skyscraper with the sides. It's a very consistent meal. The ice tea is really good! Don't forget to ask for a to-go cup as well. They treat you like family there.
Four stars for fantastic service from Elizabeth and some excellent mac & cheese. For a change, my mom was pleased with her chicken as her usual complaint when we dine out (not here!) is that it's dry and overcooked. This was moist and flavorful. My complaints here are that the ribs were overdone. I expected better at a place literally called "Rib City" on a Sunday at only 6pm. They were dry and overdone. Bummer. Restroom was clean, the table was clean, the squeezie bottles of table sauce were good (traditional was good, mustard was not) and the draft beer was one of the smallest glasses I've seen. If we ever come back, I'll get something else other than the ribs.
Visiting from Ohio and wanted to grab something quick after a long drive. We ordered curbside, so it was nice not having to get out the car in my pajama pants lol. So my review is 100% about the food as I didn't dine in nor really interact with any of their employees. I got the big fish sandwich and fries. I would have liked to try some actual BBQ, but I was just in the mood for fish. My gf got the chicken, fries and Mac and cheese. Mine was good, nothing to complain about. My gf enjoyed her food. For me, a solid four stars. I would recommend it to others.
Good food! Took a big group of 10 and they were so accommodating. Great service and excellent ribs. All smiles while they patiently waited for food. They look starved.

One of the standout features here is the menu’s deep appreciation for comfort classics. The signature sliced pork skyscraper, paired with well-chosen sides, offers a hearty, reliable meal that never disappoints. For appetizers, the fried okra accompanied by spicy ranch is a delightful southern treat, perfectly crispy and flavorful. Chicken tenders also earn high marks—so much so that they can easily serve as a full meal. And the cheese fries? While their portion size has diminished over time, they still hold their allure as a shareable indulgence.
Customer experiences highlight a mixed but honest spectrum. Service often shines, with shout-outs to staff members like Elizabeth who bring warmth and attentiveness to the table. The mac & cheese is a comforting favorite, creamy and well-seasoned. Even non-barbecue dishes like the big fish sandwich and chicken plates earn solid praise for flavor and preparation, appealing to a wide palate beyond rib aficionados.
That said, Rib City isn’t without its occasional hiccups. Some visitors report that the ribs can sometimes lean toward dryness or overcooking, a notable snag given the restaurant’s rib-centric identity. Still, these instances seem outnumbered by the consistent, tasty moments that define the experience. Cleanliness and thoughtful touches, like a good tea selection and readily offered to-go cups, enhance the overall dining comfort.
